Mary Ann VanSoest started seriously working with art after retiring from a career in real estate. She experiments with different ideas and crafts her art sometimes using unusual elements.
These quilt hangings and the painting, featured in January and February at the Wheatfield Library, use a color palette found in nature. Notice the details and individual stitches she uses to complete the pictures.
Her works have been in numerous shows and she was won various awards with her projects. She continues to attend workshops to broaden her way of approaching her art.
