The Cat's Out of the Bag; Here's The Skinny on New Adult Fiction @ JCPL!

Dog tired; I think I’ve wondered about this aloud in one of my articles before, and I still wonder how this phrase came to be, when my own dogs seem to be the exception to this idiom.

It’s September, and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas; everywhere I go.

Mixed in with the scary Halloween costumes and decorations are glistening lights, colorful garlands and even decorated Christmas trees.

In honor of Jasper County military veterans, Kyle Eenigenburg has presented each branch of the Jasper County Public Library with a binder detailing military veterans buried in Jasper County cemeteries.

September is good time to be prepared

No one wants to think about the unthinkable, but that is exactly what National Preparedness Month (ready.gov) is encouraging us to do.  The idea is to be prepared for the “worst case scenario.”

Meteorologist, Tom Skilling, was moved to tears by the awesomeness of the solar eclipse of 2017. It WAS awesome, so bright and beautiful at its peak, with the earth covered in darkness for a few minutes, right in the middle of the day.
