Special Days in September

There are plenty of things to do this month, in Jasper County and at your Library!

From the Little Cousin Jasper Festival in Rensselaer (Sept. 6-8) and the Sandhill Festival and Car Show in Wheatfield (Sept. 21) to the National Library Card Month and Banned Books week celebrations at the library (all month long), you can get out, see some entertainment, read some new books and maybe make some new friends.

OverDrive Evolution

Reading eBooks from our digital library, www.myjcpl.org/overdrive, is now easier than ever.

The app to enjoy digital titles on your mobile device, OverDrive Media Console (OMC), has been completely redesigned with ease of use top of mind. A new version of the app was unveiled on August 20. Some highlighted features include:

Celebrate your library card in September

September is National Library Card Sign Up Month, and in honor of this special occasion, all three branches of the Jasper County Public Library will be celebrating throughout the month by offering a small prize to everyone signing up for their first library card with JCPL.

New Adult Fiction @ JCPL: Priceless!

“You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time,” was a favorite saying of my Mom’s. One thing that I think we can all agree on, though, is that the price of gas these days is intimidating.
