Hundreds of volunteers help out at events all year long at our local libraries. Thanks to their efforts, we are able to make all of the programs and services we offer stretch a little bit farther and look a little bit brighter.
Whether it's the basketball team from Saint Joseph's College, who help with the Rensselaer Fall Festival; Kankakee Valley School’s National Honor Society members, who help with the DeMotte Spring Festival, annual people count and book sales; workers from the Comprehensive Developmental Centers, who clean books and other items for us between uses; the teens who help each year with our summer reading programs, or the dozens of individuals who help with ongoing library projects all year long, including genealogy cataloging and people count; we are proud to have these people as part of our library family.
Our Friends of the Library groups are also another great source of our event volunteers, and we could not do all the work we do without their financial and physical support.
Thank you~!
