Rensselaer Library, Saturday, March 6 from 2-3 pm
Wheatfield Library, Monday, March 8 from 6-7:30 pm
DeMotte Library, Saturday, March 13 from 2-3 pm

DeMotte Library March 24 2 p.m. (Spring Break week)

If you think you are a champion when it comes to Wii, join the Teen Game Tournament, open to grades 6-12 and held at all three branches of the Jasper County Public Library in March. The first round of this county-wide competition will include Mario Kart for Wii, and each person entered will compete in four races.

The top three players in the first competition from all three branches of JCPL will advance to the finals and compete against the other finalists on March 24 @ 2 pm (Spring Break week). This final game in the tournament will be held at the DeMotte Branch Library. A $30 gift card from GameStop will be awarded to the tournament champion. Sign-ups are required (register online or call the library).  Limit 25.

Other Teen Tech Week Activities

Rensselaer Library

Teen Movie - March 6 - 3-5 pm - Wind down after the game tournament and kick off Teen TechWeek at the library with a movie!  Join us for a viewing of “Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging” based on the popular teen books by Louise Rennison.  This movie is rated PG-13.  Snacks will be provided.  No registration required. 

Mobile Lab Free Time - March 10 - 3:30-4:30 pm - Teens grades 6-12 are invited to check out our mobile lab computers and use this time to work on homework, play internet games, etc.  Teen must have an internet permission form signed to participate. 

Third Thursday “Music” - March 18- 4-5 pm - Grades 1-5.  Limit 12. Registration Required.  Join us for an afternoon of music related games, crafts and even food! We will discuss different forms of music from all over the world!
