Hotspots and chargers at your library

So that you can easily access Internet from any location, the Jasper County Public Library is offering Hot Spot Check Out, a service that allows adults age 18 and over to check out a portable hotspot device to connect mobile devices such as laptops, smart phones or tablets to the Internet from your home, the park, the coffee shop or any other location.

Hot spots are available for check out at all three branches of JCPL, located in Rensselaer, DeMotte & Wheatfield, for a 7-day loan period. Hot spots can be placed on hold in person or by calling one of our three locations. Library staff will contact you once a device becomes available.

Please read our Hotspot Policy for details.

Each branch of the Jasper County Public Library, located in Rensselaer, DeMotte & Wheatfield, also now has charging towers and docking stations for patron use.

Patrons will find a free standing Portable Power Tower Charging Station and three ChargHub USB Universal Charging Stations at each library location. This new equipment safely and effectively powers phones, tablets, mobile and other electronic devices, and is free to use in the library.

Made possible by a generous grant from the Jasper Foundation, this much needed equipment is just another way that we inform, enrich, and empower our diverse community.
