DeMotte Library Youth Services Specialist
Printer-friendlyThe DeMotte Library is now hiring a Youth Services Specialist. This position is 40 hours per week, requires evening and Saturday hours, and is open until filled.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, 2 years experience working with children, and must attain Indiana Library Certification 4 (LC4) within 2 years.
This position directly contributes to the accomplishment of the Library’s mission through inspirational, proactive leadership of the Youth Services Department; applies collection development skills to develop appealing, diverse & current Juvenile/Young Adult collections; applies knowledge of the community and awareness of programming resources to develop fun, interesting & educational programs for juveniles and young adults; assumes the duties and responsibilities of the branch manager in his/her absence.
Must work well with others, have excellent customer service skills, provide reference and circulation service, and must have flexibility to perform a variety of duties. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
