Vegas-style crooner Jim Bulanda to perform at DeMotte Library in October

A tuxedo, swagger and a golden voice once was the hallmark of what was known as a 'man's man.' For some time now, guests at some of the region's casinos have been enjoying a tribute to this bygone era in the form of singer Jim Bulanda.

Bulanda, who evokes the spirit and style of the Golden Age of Las Vegas, croons hits of the late, great Frank Sinatra, as well as Tony Bennett, Jimmy Mathis and Dean Martin, among others.

His lounge-fare music keeps him busy all year long. Bulanda is known for capturing the style and essence of over 12 different voices during his performances in Rocks Lounge at Blue Chips Casino, Hotel & Spa in Michigan City, and Amore Ristorante in Crown Point, just to name a few.

On Friday, Oct. 23 from 2-4 pm, the DeMotte Library is proud to host a performance by this master of sound that will be remembered long after the last note is sung. Free and open to all ages, this two hour, live musical presentation will include a repertoire of songs that will appeal to old and young alike.

Bulanda is a 1973 graduate of Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights and now resides in an unincorporated area just west of Crown Point, and is best known these days for his legendary tribute to ‘Ol Blue Eyes.’
