Election Day, Tuesday Nov. 8, is less than two weeks away, but you don't have to wait to vote.

All registered voters in Indiana are eligible to vote absentee-in-person at the county election board office beginning 28 days before Election Day through noon the day before Election Day. Read more about absentee voting in person at the Jasper County Voting & Elections web portal.

There are also options to vote absentee by mail, but only for those registered voters meeting specific conditions. Absentee-by-mail applications must be received by the county office for the 2016 general election by Oct. 31. Read more at the Indiana Election Division Absentee Voting web portal.

There are new and updated polling places in Jasper County. Carpenter East has moved from the American Legion to the Remington Library. Jordan Township will be voting at the Tri-County Bible Church. Marion Two voters will continue to vote at the Rensselaer Fire Department, but at its new location at 1060 W. Clark Street. And Wheatfield West (1) voters will be voting at the First Reformed Church of DeMotte, rather than the Sheriff's Annex.
