Stuck at home for a few days? Now is a perfect time to get to know our online ebook services.

We offer two services that let you check out books on smart phones and tablets - OverDrive/Libby and Hoopla.

Our OverDrive service is a shared collection we've been developing for several years with about 70 other Indiana libraries. We purchase new titles and add them on a regular basis in ebook and eaudiobook formats.

Libby is the newest app for using OverDrive, and makes the service extremely friendly for mobile devices. It can be found in the Google Play store for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices. Once you install it, you can search for Jasper County Public Library and register using your valid library card.

Hoopla is a newer service that provides access to ebooks, eaudio, video, music and comics/graphic novels. You will also install an app from your Play Store / App Store, and activate your account with your library card. With Hoopla, you also need a PIN, which library staff can set for you. If you already use a PIN to access your account from home or reserve computers here at the library, it is the same PIN.

Neither of our online collections is an exact match for what is in our physical collection, but is an extension of what we have on our shelves, and can offer titles we don't carry locally. It's just another way to extend the services we provide.
