It's April, and as the area warms back up, there are plenty of things to do. Are you ready to celebrate spring?

March is halfway over; it’s now the seventeenth. Around the bend comes April, with all events so neat.

For April is for poets, who express themselves with rhyme; they write about great loves and such, and feelings so sublime. The opening of April is really fun for fools; for the first day of this springtime month lets us break a million rules.

Days are getting longer. Temperatures are inching higher. Spring is a real possibility.  If others are as excited about the prospect as I am, then now is a good time to think about some things to help ready our abodes for that most wonderful time of year – and the library can help!

Celebrate the Pi Day of the Century @ Rensselaer Library

Join us at the Rensselaer Library on Saturday, March 14 at 9:26 a.m. as we celebrate one of the most interesting numbers with mini pies, a brief pi demonstration and pi crafts for all ages.

This will be a perfect way for families to spend time before the program at 10 am featuring Iditarod musher Karen Land.

Teen Tech Week - Libraries are for Making

Each March the library celebrates our teen patrons and technology with a special week of events in conjunction with YALSA, the YA branch of the American Library Association.

Stop by the library this month and check out the special events for Teen Tech Week, March 8-14.  Each library will be offering something and this year’s theme is Libraries are for Making…..
